Same here. In fact, I wouldn't have even minded if Kitana, Jade and Mileena dressed that way because it's what Shao Kahn wants women in his realm to wear (his slaves in the arena have very similar outfits), but then wtf is Sonya wearing that "police uniform" for? An unzipped jacket that lets your cleavage fall out is not a police uniform! Regardless of whether you stick a badge over your nipple!

I think it would have been pretty cool to see the women of Earthreal dressed in practical battle gear, while the women of Outworld were forced to wear revealing bikinis. It would have really emphasized just how horrible it is living in Outworld, especially for women.

Yeah, especially when placed next to say... Striker, who is ALSO a cop and is dressed super duper practically. Wat.

And I agree, it could have been a neat and subtle storytelling device... As subtle as double Ds can BE anyway.

Agreed all over this comment. I love me some MK, but the designs could have been done much better. Also? Is it not hilarious that the slave in the arena had more practical footwear than any of the ninja ladies? Just saying, I'd prefer sneakers or boots to stiletto heels over 4 inches when fighting for my life, unless I'm just going to land on my opponent feet-first.

And frankly--everyone having the exact same cup size is just ridiculous. How often does that really happen, ever?

That would have been an excellent point, but alas, that's asking for too much depth from Ed Boon.
