I agree. I am all for having children and families are great and whatever, but when you are in the middle of a war it is not the best time. Especially with the very real possiblity that you could die. Both of them, especially Remus, saw what it was like for Harry not to grow up without his parents. Why they would risk their own child to grow up the same is beyond me. I kinda feel sorry for Teddy. If I was him I would have at some point asked myself why my parents had me in the first place.

Maybe they were afraid of dying before they had a chance to start a family together? Not saying that makes it better, but people don't always act rationally when they are in love and during times of war.
