I wouldn't put too much stock in a Sorting Hat quiz that asks 7 vague questions like "Moon or Stars?", "Left or Right?", and "Head or Tails?" regardless of how official said quiz might be.

Are the questions really that vague? That's rather dissapointing.

I think they jumble them up for each person, so other people might have gotten better questions than me. But most of mine were vague 50/50 questions, which sucked the fun right out of the sorting. Especially since I was pretty indifferent towards either answer.

But those questions make absolutely no sence when trying to determin what house someone would be in.

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought when I took the quiz. Like, I can't imagine most Slytherin preferring heads over tails, or most Gryffindor preferring the moon over the stars. It really does nothing to truly evaluate what sort of personality you have and which house would best benefit you to be in.

I didn't find the questions quite that vague. There were some that could've been symbolic or metaphorical. Like there was one about entering an enchanted garden, of the choices, which would you want to examine more closely first. And there were some straight up personality ones, like, "How would you like to be known throughout history?" The more random ones seemed to come from the wand quiz, which seemed completely bogus.

I've heard there's a pool of questions and you get asked 7 out of those, so some may be better than others.

Hmmm...that's kinda annoying because I didn't get any awesome questions like that. :(

I only got two questions for which there were only two answers. The rest of my questions had between four and five answers. So no, it's not like I chose "stars," "dawn," "white chess piece" "heads" and "right," ended up in Gryffindor, and was really impressed with myself. I thought for a good ten to twenty minutes on some of my questions, and answered them carefully and truthfully.
