It's funny how people complain so much about JK's quiz being "inaccurate". Since you know so much about where you belong just sort yourself and be done with it. :p For the most part I think people tend to misjudge themselves more often than not. That's the flaw with most of these online quizzes. I don't think people can objectively rate themselves. That's why I like how Jo designed her quiz. If more people would just take it as it is and go with the flow of things I bet they'd be having a lot more fun.

Maybe we do sometimes misjudge ourselves, but I think we know ourselves better than a 7-question quiz, and unless we can provide reasons WHY we chose left over right, it can't really assess who we are as people. Which is fine if you just see it as a fun little extra- and that's all I see it as. I take it with a grain of salt, and I don't plan on turning in my Ravenclaw gear for Slytherin stuff.

Jo's sorting quiz is not a complete psychological profile, it's for placement in one of four houses. The students in Hogwarts are each distinct and unique unto themselves. Just because you're placed in Slytherin that doesn't mean you're automatically a Malfoy or Snape clone. There were good and bad wizards in each house, and probably a lot of characters who would have had traits that would have fit more than one house. I think Jo knows the Houses better than any of us do since she created them. :p

She might know the houses, but she doesn't know us. Left vs. right and moon vs. stars says nothing about my cunning and ambition or lack thereof (for the record, I'm not very ambitious). Besides, it's only 7 questions and they're generated randomly. Another set of questions could have gotten me put into Hufflepuff, for all I know.

I don't know why people are so determined to defend this quiz to the death.
