I don't understand the rage because it happened three years ago. Do you know how much shit they've all done in three years? And you're hung up over that one little thing that would've happened anyways whether it be Cas or another angel? IDGI.

Yeah, I've seen several people say that they'll be mad if it doesn't get addressed this season and I just can't imagine that, at this point, Sam and Dean would be particularly hung up about it. That whole situation was a massive shitstorm and, considering ALL that's happened since then, Castiel confessing that under the duress of heaven he unlocked the Panic Room is probably not going to be high on their list of "things we will hold against you". I don't think it would even realistically be an issue. JMO.

Yeah, talk about a moot issue. Besides, in all honesty I'm sure Dean eventually came to the conclusion himself. If he would have brought up the issue around the time it happened then it would have made sense and been well deserved. But bringing it up now three (actually four canonically) years later is absurd.

I always assumed that they sent Cas to let Sam out as an extra punishment. Like a "here's your chance to show us how sorry you are for betraying us for the humans" kind of thing.

They could have just as easily sent another angel to do it, they just wanted to humiliate Cas just a liiiittle bit more.
