i once had some work "friends" who insinuated that i was a lesbian in a very mean-spirited way... and tried to trick me into admitting that i was a lesbian... and this was apparently all because i'd never had a boyfriend and didn't dress "fashionably" enough for them :/

i really wouldn't mind being mistaken for gay if it was an innocent assumption (i go to my school's gay pride alliance with my roommate and i think a lot of people assume that we're dating lol) but if someone is clearly trying to insult you then, um, it sucks to be insulted/bullied, especially for phobic reasons?
