Dude, I'd write whole novels in my head stolen from childhood video games and tv shows, and I still do to this day, and I seriously think you're awesome.

That's pretty awesome. The last time I wrote Zelda fic was about 12 years ago and it was a crossover with the Pokemon anime spanning the length of one of those marble journal composition books. But yeah, if there's enough difference between the world in Zelda and your own creation then I'd definitely look to publish it and maybe put in a dedication or something.
