As far as being a creeper, I think there must be a difference between fetishizing people and having preferences in attraction. This line is pretty murky and people disagree over where it is, but I think the key issue with fetishization is dehumanization. People who are attracted to Asian people but view them as a concept, or a collection of stereotypes (e.g. meek, subservient girl), or as an attractive object and nothing more are all fetishizing Asian people. If you remember and honestly understand that everybody you're attracted to is a real person with real thoughts and real feelings, who has personal worth beyond how attractive they are or are not, and who won't necessarily fit the mold you expect just because of their cultural heritage, then I don't think you're fetishizing.
