Oh, now I remembered. You mean that Stannis who used bad magic to kill his own brother in the most coward of ways? He should be like.. crucified.

You do remember that the books are extremely ambiguous about whether Stannis even knew about that, right? Melisandre killed Renly.

Or that said Renly was basically laughing about how he was going to kill him? The fact of the matter is, neither of them were in the right in that situation.

That too. I don't get how people hate Stannis for Renly's death after Renly STARTED the entire conflict between them and told him to bend the knee or get killed by Renly's army. Before chatting casually about what should be done with Stannis's corpse once he's dead. But of course Renly was a little darling and so did not deserve to die. -.-

I don't have any sympathy for Renly, or the Tyrell's for that matter, for his pointless play for power that only served to cause more uneccessary problems.

De-anoning here because it's not like my Stannis love is a secret... I really don't understand why people feel sorry for Renly. He seemed like a good guy in AGoT, but afterwards he turned into a power-hungry, arrogant warmonger who started a war against his own BROTHER just because he wanted to play king. And I'm supposed to feel sorry for him? For what exactly? I just hate it when people pretend that Stannis and Renly were in the same situation: Renly wanted to kill his own brother because he wanted power; Stannis had to kill his own brother because said brother betrayed him and started a war.
