Well... sorta. I mean, he did descend into the depths of alcoholism and his writing disintegrated into self-parody, but sure, if you consider that "things turning out all right" than Hemingway's life was a-okay.

I yanked the gif from thebloggess's blog a while back. Pretty much everything she does is ironic, sarcastic, insane, or some mixture of the three.

Problem is, some people say things like that without the irony. So it gets hard to tell who actually knows what they are talking about and then turning it on its head, and who is speaking out ignorance or idiocy.
