lol. My dog's given us so much trouble over the years with her severe separation anxiety. She's sweet as can be, just couldn't be left alone for the longest time.

Ah, I see. Our dog's excited to see us when we come, but when we're not home he's just like "meh".

My dog was the same way. Though not in the enthusiastic kind of licking that dogs usually do. He was slow and methodical and quite loving about it.

Henrietta would destroy herself and the house to get out and come find us. She's better now, but she was so difficult when we first got her.

Our dog treats everyone like a human lolipop. It's actually a little disconcerting. :)

Some dogs are kissers, others less so.

This is so much the truth it's not even funny. :D

You absolutely were of service- I didn't expect much more of a response than a few apathetic 'cry moar, anon' replies, and maybe one comment saying 'me too'. I absolutely did not expect so many people to clusterfuck the hell out of my secret in the name of 'winning' this f!s post.

I am indeed! Puddleglum's speech is one of the best refutations I've ever seen put to writing, and I quote it often in defense of fandom. I also grew up enjoying the Beeb version with Tom Baker (long before I knew of Doctor Who), which is the best of the special-effect-impaired series because the story relies the least on special effects. It stands on its (admittedly low budget and kind of silly) own, and I'd choose the Silver Chair book over TLTW&TW any day.
