I have yet to find one fandom that isn't like that.
And I'd even suspect that, the more idealistic and chipper the canon is, the more fans act like selfish pests. Someone should study the phenomenon.

mabby its cos im not on the "inside" yet (ive never been on the inside of any fandom, and this makes me a sad panda) but (since im looking at it) my little pony:FIM hasnt done this yet

MLP:FIM fandom definitely has sexism and hostility towards fans of the previous MLP series.
