I really don't see why people get so butthurt over this topic. I'm not talking about people at the level of "meh I thought the epilogue was kinda crappy," I'm talking about the people who are honestly upset that the vast majority of characters in a series exclusively set in junior high/high school end up with their high school sweethearts.

And quit saying it never happens. It is rarer than the alternative but it happens. Not to mention that the rules often change during war time, and going through major life-changing events together with people really brings them close.
Oh, and when there's basically ONE magic school in your country, if you're a witch or wizard then you did for sure go to school with everybody within six years of age. So yeah, dating people in your age group almost certainly means dating somebody who went to the same school while you were there.

And that sometimes involves a lot of lying and waiting until the wedding night to reveal what you are. It happens but it's not something that was going to be covered in the Epilogue. It has been explored on Pottermore though.
