(Anonymous) 2011-10-22 05:54 am (UTC)(link)Yes, they seriously have gotten 'butthurt'- I've heard people in other comms say they refuse to see Secret of Kells just after seeing a screencap of Brother Assoua. And all manner of expressions of disgust and watermelon gifs followed.
Although I understand their concerns, their leaping to conclusions without digging further upset me, because Brother Assoua struck me as one of the more sensible scribes who knows why he needs to work on books (and shows concern for Brendan on the scaffolding), and you'd never get that if you refused to see it altogether.
