Yo dawg I see you're a feminist and I'm a feminist too and the lack of female representation in films is a serious problem I think we can all agree, however, in this case this is one of the stupidest complaints I've ever heard in my life.

They are in a monastery. A fucking monastery. This is like griping about the lack of female characters in U-571: completely fucking moronic.

The nonsensical demand that there be female characters on present at all times (which, for the record, there was in this film, anyhow) even in films where it makes absolutely no fucking sense whatsoever irreparably damages the arguments feminists make for their inclusion where they were present and they do make sense. All the detractors need do is point to you and go: look! It's not about realism or fairness or consideration! It's the irrational demand for boobs, any boobs at all, even where there were absolutely no boobs, so anyone looking for historical accuracy may safely ignore their silly demands for inclusion! They want women in a fucking monastery!

It's. A. Fucking. Monastery. Get the fuck off my side, and whinge for the inclusion of your bullshit token females elsewhere.

the monastery is actively integrated into the wider community of men, women and children. it's not like they're isolated monks, there are plenty of women around who would be, you know, part of the community
