You know, a good part of me agrees with you. I'm all for having strong female characters, but I'd actually rather have well-rounded well-written female characters.

In a fandom I'm in, a character got bashed because she showed weakness in something that would be outside of her comfort zone; it's totally understandable, but it got bashed like crazy. I kind of hate that mentality.

But yeah, I hear you.

ITA. Well-rounded complex female character are WAY more important to me than Strong Female Characters because with Strong Female Characters it often feels like I'm being told that in order for a woman to be a worthwhile character she has to be "bad ass" and take on masculine attributes.

There are definitely Strong Female Characters I like, and some have stereotypically masculine attributes too and I'm fine with that, but it's getting to where that's the only female character we're "allowed" (by anybody...) to respect and to hell with that.

Off topic, but eeeee, icon of Eileen! <3 She's one of my favorite female characters, because I found her... relatively well rounded! :D atleast in my opinion <3
