(Anonymous) 2011-10-23 01:48 am (UTC)(link)Jokes aside, OP, at least you're getting fit. I would never ever in a million years openly admit to anyone my reasons for wanting to lose weight. I have some really sweet fandom friends who want to meet up with me for the next World Cup in 2014, and...every time I want to eat something really bad for me or when I want to give up on working out, I think about how I would look compared to them, and that inspires me to work harder at losing weight. It's really stupid and it reflects on an insecure part of me that I don't show my RL friends, who all think I'm perfectly happy accepting my plus size body. But I want my fandom friends to believe that I'm not the stereotypical fat fangirl since from the photos we've all exchanged they're all much thinner than me. Insecure anon is insecure.
