I hate hate hat the word 'feisty'. Not necessarily the traits it describes, just... the way it only ever seems to be applied to female characters (male characters are never 'feisty') and seems to basically just mean 'able to stand up for herself' or w/e as if that's a highly unusual trait in women. It's just. Ugh.

Because woman who are able to stand-up for themselves are "exceptional" or "unrealistic".

There is nothing sexist about that... right...

YES. And it also has this vibe of just being very unserious, as if... idk, when a woman gets angry it's cute or something. No. When I get like that, it's not out of "fiestiness", it's because I or someone/thing I care about has been wronged and I'm pissed and hurt. I don't know, maybe it's cause it looks like fiesta or something. But anyway, yes, I agree. That word is dumb, it is really dumb, fo' real, and I hate how it's the go-to word for describing confident female characters.

Yes, that's another thing that really bugs me about it! It's such a cutesy word. Glad it's not just me who's pissed off by it.
