Holy logical fallacies in this thread, Batman.

Look, guys, let me spell it out for you: saying something isn't rape when it isn't, in fact, rape, does not mean the speaker thinks that thing is okay.

All it means is that the speaker knows it isn't rape.

Lots of things are both not rape and not okay. Necrophilia is both not rape and illegal. Chill.

Most people assume that the subject is brought up in the first place due to unsavory motivations, e.g. trying to justify it morally. "Being ridiculously pedantic" is not the only reason things are ever brought up, although in this case it might be. The OP does not exactly deserve the benefit of the doubt, and they could have made it clear that the exasperation was due to upset over inaccuracy versus moral issues.
