SS/HG is weird to me.

Like it if you want, of course, I'm not bashing, but...I just don't see it.

Of course, if someone wants to rec some good fics to me, go for it...the only one I've read with that pairing was shitty.

(Not really related: the initials of that ship make me think of Heart Gold & Soul Silver.)

I agree. Snape/Hermione is right up there with Snape/Neville to me (which I'm sure is shipped too). He's the teacher who bullied here, and he didn't even have a remotely workable reason like he did with Harry (which still isn't an excuse). I just, the idea of a bully victim being romantically involved with their bully just boggles my mind, and the fact that he was her authority figure just makes it worse. I just honestly don't get it. At all.

I've never ready ANYTHING decent for that pairing (though I do need to stress that I've not actively sought anything for it either) so I can't help there. But thank you x 1^42 for stating that. It's bothered me for the longest time...
