Secondly, as someone who is not a native speaker, I try very hard to use proper grammar and spelling. Mostly because I think it's a respectful thing to do. Usually, if I'm unsure about something, I ask one of my English-speaking friends.
Hammering down on people for small mistakes is just ridiculous and petty. I hate it when people do that.
