There's already a short-haired Disney princess, and she is very popular, so I don't think they think people won't buy it. Not to mention characters like Cinderella and Tinkerbell have updos on most of their dolls, which would make their hair difficult to play with.

I get them doing the majority of the dolls with her having long-hair, because she does spend 99% of the movie like that, and yeah, kids like that a lot. But I really just want one nice one of her at the end of the movie. I mean releasing a wedding set of her with long hair would be like releasing a wedding set with Eric and Mermaid!Ariel.
