I've almost always liked how has Xavier looked in the books (not so much Magneto), and I thought McAvoy was a decent choice, even though I thought it was a bit odd that they kept his hair intact.

And I hate to break it to you, but X-Men is kind of like Batman or Star Trek: the rabidness will die down, but it's likely you'll never truly escape it. The fandoms are too large and have been around for too long just simply keel over. Trust me on this; I've never much liked Batman and any of the stuff that comes from its canon, but whenever it pops up I don't go around decrying my loathing for the series because I would be wasting my breath. Best to just ignore it and keep on scrollin.'

I know. I was in a bad mood when I wrote this. I kinda enjoyed the X-Men when I began to read it but the bad stories and films ruined it for me. The "X" overdose in the 90's didn't help it either. I find them whining and whining. The best stories, IMO, is the one which stays aways from the preaching.

Anyway, I don't like Bats either, LOL. But is more a slight dislike. X-Men is turning into a revulsion.
