Eh, people give Tali fans shit because there are some creepo neckbeards in there who fantasize about her, but honestly, her romance is the only one available for Male Shep besides Jack's that seemed somewhat realistic to me, and Jack simply doesn't do it for me. Liara reminded me of Dug from "Up" with her "I just met you and I love you"-ness, I didn't feel any chemistry with Miranda, and Ash felt like a brosis more than anything else.

Honestly, the only people that fandom should be ashamed of are the ones who swear up and down that you're stupid for playing a Male Shep or a Fem Shep, because "OMG Jennifer Hale is such a better voice actress" or "all custom Shepards look ugly especially the female ones." I don't let the forever alone types who wonder what Quarian sweat tastes like turn me off of a perfectly wonderful character.
