I go on video game forums that have a high majority of male posters and I've never had a problem with it. The only time I've witnessed someone have a problem is if the female poster did it to draw attention to herself, negative or positive.

Er, so do I. And a many of the female posters accused of "drawing attention to themselves" are women who mentioned their gender in passing on a thread in which all of the male posters were doing the same.

But yeah, agreeing with anon that holy shit is your whinging ever disproportionate to an amusing cartoon about not correcting people about gender. Stop crying about it and accept that people's experiences are not all identical. Apparently it hasn't ever affected you, so why are you whining?
