For a lot of people it IS humiliation kink, and that bullshit drives me up a wall. It perpetuates the idea that women's things are weak, and that to be even SIMILAR to women is a punishment.

Supposed "women's" clothing is slinky, restrictive or revealing. I think it's a shame that people associate those adjectives with women only. Men have sexy parts to reveal, too, so I enjoy crossdressing when guys are wearing gorgeous outfits proudly. And to paraphrase Eddie Izzard, they aren't women's clothes when they don't belong to a woman.

The point is, the person who's trying to kink shame at the beginning of this thread is doing the equivalent saying it 'drives them up the wall' that people have rape as a kink, even when they're told that the majority of people who have it are actual rape victim and this is part of how they're coping.

If the person you're talking to is the victim, don't think you have a right to lecture them on what they should find attractive and why. Let alone gender roles, which is something inflicted on women since the day they're born and is used to shape them, sometimes quite harshly. Like seriously, fuck you if you want to respond to my habit of fetishizing femininity by giving me a fucking lecture on gender roles and internalized misogyny, THANKS.

A lot of women's clothing can be ridiculous though. Mostly because it's expected that women dress certain ways as a matter of course (make up, high heels and whatnot). There is emphasis on looks over practicality that is degrading in the workplace if it goes against how a woman would chose to dress.

This is a good comment. I tend to think women who are uncomfortable in/don't want to wear lingerie being forced into it is kind of hot. Why not the same with a man?
