You know what? You might get hate for this, but I think it's an understandable reaction.
As someone who is in the Supernatural fandom, it took me a WHILE to get used to all the incest. I have a sibling and the idea of being anything but his sister grosses me out, big time. But you sort of have to learn to live and let live. There's nothing wrong with being squicked by a kink...as long as you're not attacking people who enjoy it.

Don't like the kink? No big deal. Just don't go around making a big deal out of it and try to tell everyone who likes said kink that there's something wrong with them. If it's not hurting them or anyone else in real life, then fap and let fap.

It is judging. They find the kink gross. That doesn't necessarily imply condemnation. Their secret was actually one of the LEAST negative "I don't get this kink. I think it's squicky" secrets I've seen here.

Well... yeah, it's not something you can really explain. For me it's the thrill of a forbidden and secret relationship. It's romantic in a fucked-up way. Oh no, we mustn't, but it feels so good, I must express my feelings before my lust consumes me~~~

But then again I don't like, IDK, cuckold stuff which is also forbidden and secret. So yeah. Kinks. Can't be explained.

I like reading/watching/writing incest pairings sometimes, but that's mostly because I have a fascination with people that are "screwed up" in fiction. I have a brother and the thought of being in a relationship with him squicks me right the hell out, so it's not a kink I actually have IRL...or even a kink in the sexual way for me. In fact, whenever the pairing is portrayed as totally normal besides the fact that they're related...that makes me lose interest completely.

I don't really get it either. I'll read incest fic now and then if it's from a dark perspective and I think it makes a lot of sense with canon. (Which is very subjective of course.)

But it doesn't bother me at all if people like it. I don't really have to get it, who cares...

OP, I have an incest kink and I don't really understand it.

I'm pretty squicked by the thought of any of my actual relatives in a sexual context.

But incest in fic? Aw, HELL yeah.

It's a kink. There's not always a why to it. Sometimes stuff turns you on because that's where your buttons are installed.
