(Anonymous) 2011-11-04 03:09 am (UTC)(link)He usually either covers his mouth or does voiceovers for on-camera appearances. Once, they were on The Daily Show back when it was hosted by Craig Kilbourn, who would always ask interviewees 5 questions. His 5th "question" was: "This one's for Teller: SAY SOMETHING!" Teller sipped from his mug, timing it so that his mouth was covered as he muttered, "Fuck you, Craig." (which also had to largely be bleeped out...)
He also did a voice-over on the Simpsons:
Homer: Hey, I thought you never talked.
Teller: Uh, I didn't mean to. It just slipped out. Oh, God, now Penn's going to beat me.
Penn: Folks, it's all part of the act!
Teller: No it isn't! Don't leave me alone with him!
Penn: You've ruined the act! I'm going to kill you!
Teller: He'll do it! I'm not the first Teller.
(Sorry, I rather like Teller, a bit more than Penn, really...)
