I believe it's an older picture. Adele has lost a significant amount of weight in the past couple years. This site has a photo from her at the Grammy's in 2009.

This reminds me of a post I saw on tumblr recently: "i always think it’d be funny if someone made a post titled 'unpopular opinion' and then under the read more instead of being like, 'i don’t think adele is talented' it just said, 'dammit, hitler was right!!'"

I'm fine to not find her to your taste (I'm a little sick of her myself right now, tbh), but I don't get how you think "Rolling In The Deep" is a slow song.

Not OP, but personally it's because it does start off amazingly slow, and never really picks up to the pace most fast songs are - and because it's basically repeating itself the whole way through, verse and chorus.

Then again, most her songs that I've heard basically sound the same to me so. /shrugs

I hate how nearly ALL of her songs are about men, love, and especially ended relationships. I hate how everyone jumps on her dick, often just because she can sing and because they want to appear tolerant of people with different body types.

Looking at the comments in this thread, I honestly never noticed how it's all about relationship and men. Huh D: I guess I just tend to pay more attention to the music itself than actual lyrics. But yeah, in an age where everything mainstreamed is autotuned to all hell, it's definitely nice to hear someone on the radio who can actually sing.

I love the fuck out of her songs, but I hate how uncreative she is in the album title department. It's like how all of Chicago's albums were titled "Chicago 14", "Chicago 15", "Chicago 16", etc...

She's super-talented, but after picking up both her CDs, I have to agree. It's mostly that 85% of her stuff is slow, wrist-slitting heartache. And she's so awesome at the rockin' R&B baddass stuff. But, if she's writing her own stuff, and that's what she's going through, maybe it's just a matter of time? IDK.

I have no problem at all with slow songs, but, goddammit, I hate her music. Or, worse, I'm completely and utterly bored to death with it. She has an ok voice and the songs aren't bad, but they're so... common, so... something so similar to everything we already heard in the radio over and over and over for so many years,that I can't help but be... well, bored to death.

After hearing Rolling in the Deep about a dozen times at my work, I can say it's not slow.

Also, I loathe that song because the radio station we have loves it.

I have to agree. Rolling in the Deep sounds like one long outro.

Someone Like You isn't bad.. I like to belt it out when there's no one in the room. But it shouldn't really be on the radio, especially not on the hits station. You hear Party Rock Anthem, and then Last Friday Night, and then that? Mood killer.

The thing is she has really good voice compared to most american singers (seriously, why does everyone ruin their voice with nasal singing and singing out of their range? It's horrible to listen to). I'd be sad if she went away, but she could use better songs...Oh well.

If I had heard Adele when I was something like 16, I would've been probably bored too... but with time, I've come to love softer, longer songs (too). Though I definitely have moments when I'm not in the mood for them, still :)

But there are so many artists out there with fast-paced music. I have no problem with you not liking her but personally I love having a little variety in the styles of music.
