I don't have a problem with her songs, I have a problem with her voice. It's screechy beyond belief when she tries for the high notes. I wish her songs were sung by someone else.

Or that she would at least sing them in her natural range (alto) instead of struggling for notes that she obviously can't hit. She's going to ruin her voice sooner or later if she keeps doing that (especially since she isn't using proper technique; it's obvious just by watching her perform). Hell, it's started already. Those bouts of laryngitis she's had? Very likely the start of vocal nodules. And if they get bad enough to require surgery, her career's basically over.

I wouldn't go that far. She has a great voice, and it would be a shame to see it ruined because she's forcing herself to sing what sells (female pop soloists are expected to be mezzo- or full sopranos) instead of what's right for her voice type.
