I don't see why this has to be any of her SO's business if she doesn't want it to be. fandom is a hobby. my bf plays baseball sims, and he could be making up elaborate porny stories about Jose Canseco and Tim Lincecum for all I care.

honestly, most of the people in this thread who are horrified at the idea of marrying someone without sharing 100% of your life are more than likely young and/or single. marriage is not a Vulcan mind-meld.

this. It's just fandom, who gives a fuck if it's kept a secret? I mean, I was pretty heavily into fandom for years while I was living with my family and they had no idea. I don't see why it would be tremendously difficult to keep it separate from your SO if you wanted to for whatever reason. I doubt OP's marriage would crumble because of it (I mean, what would they put on the divorce papers? "(S)he writes Harry/Draco mpreg and I can't take it anymore"?)

I'm still not seeing where anyone is horrified at the idea of not sharing 100 percent of their life, here. Most of the comments along the vein of "tell him" are saying so as a "don't you want to not have to hide some huge secret?" thing. I mean, if OP is concerned enough about this to write a fandom-secret, then obviously it's a worry, rather than just some off-to-the-side thing. *shrug*
