...I kinda know that feel, OP. Always loved scientists. In my case they don't need to be crazy, but it certainly helps. There's just something incredibly sexy about science.

I love brainy sciencey types, and I love characters that are kind of creepy/insane/just off in some way. Sometimes they overlap, and there is much happiness. :)

but no yeah I totally get you there. the lab coat, the brains, the insanity, there is something about it. WICKED HOT.
lucky for me I am marrying a scientist. BOOYAH. but he won't wear his lab coat for me because he says its covered in chemicals and stuff ^^; oh well.

I've brought my mad scientist kink to meet your mad scientist kink. I think they will get on well. I can't quite quantify what exactly it is about the trope. Possibly lab coats are just hot. I don't know.

_{Also, I think it would be nice to hang around with someone sciency-minded but more... interesting. Like, I love my subject, but maths isn't generally big on explosions or sparks everywhere or in fact anything more dramatic than a whiteboard and a pen. I long for my A-level chemistry classes...

YES SCIENTISTS! My boyfriend is a mad scientist. (Well, almost, he'll be done his major in a couple of years).

Let me tell, OP, it's awesome. You'll especially love the days he comes back from the lab in his sexy la coat, hair all a mess from crazy experiments... *blush* I probably shouldn't go any further.

You'll definitely find one though! Try the science complex at your local university. ;)

Can't say much about the other characters but, dude, Daryl gave me nightmares. I think it was the way HM:AWL always did close ups of his face during his creepy cutscenes. ...or the fact that you catch him spying on your kid at one point.

On a slightly related note, I was always miffed that they never made Daryl a bachelor in DS cute.

I think they sell mad scientist outfits in costume stores. Find a guy who's good at hammy acting and a fondness for roleplaying in bed and you'll be set. :)

Not the Nolanverse version if you're not into pretty (and he's possibly my least favorite portrayal anyway). But the comics, Animated Series, and Arkham Asylum versions are amazing.

I've always had two goals for growing up:

1. To become a mad scientist.

2. To marry a mad scientist.

Something about those men just drives me wild. I must have an intelligence fetish.

Oh, they exist, trust me. Maybe a little constrained by law enforcement, but, honestly, mad scientists are still around, and I recommend really taking a look for them.

Cause, srsly, nothing like you and your other, joining forces to take out your shared arachnophobic frustrations with a .5kW laser. Pizza guy was pretty confused, though.
