Honestly (not trolling here) I could never figure out why exactly people really hate Kyubey as much as they do. He has no malice in his vocabulary, which just makes it all the more eerie, but I just don't agree with the whole KYUBEY IS EVIL! argument. Sure his actions are majorly douchey but I wouldn't really call him a villain. It's what makes this show so interesting, I think.

I would love to have a stuffed animal of him, too. But I'd love stuffed animals of all the chars and witches in this show, haha.

Despite everything, I still think he's cute.

He has EARS coming out of his other ears. That's just not right. He design screams "wrong" to me and he freaks me out. Plus after everything he does...

thanks for this secret, I never realized I was subconsciously assuming that Kyuube was not in fact furry but had some kind of rubbery/plasticine/dolphin-skin texture. I don't even know what the fuck.

I get why people are terrified of him (it?), and I agree with that, but at the same time I agree that his (its?) tail looks SO PETTABLY FLUFFY.

does Kyuubey even have a sex or gender identity in the conventional sense? does Kyuubey even care about gender identity? would Kyuubey contract trans-girls or trans-boys? why am I asking so many questions about the evil mascot of a series I'm too chicken to watch?

I really wanted him as my pet.

I want to punt Kyuubey so much, but I agree, his tail is so fucking swishy and soft I want to just pet him forever! I would totally hug (SPOILERS) (/SPOILERS), no hesitation.

I can't even bring myself to hate him, the fucker, because of his lack of emotions, my unfounded theories that he was counting on Madoka doing exactly what she did the ENTIRE TIME, and the very end of the series. /vague

If you don't think Kyuubey's the villain, congrats on missing the point I guess.

Here's a hint though: killing teenage girls and making them suffer for all eternity is generally a bad thing! Regardless of how you justify it.

Never seen the show (but I want to because I want to see how creepy he actually is) but I agree he's adorable!

I understood his blue-and-orange morality, that part did not bother me.

Kyuubei creeped me right the fuck out because HE DOESN'T BLINK. Even INSECTS and the aliens from Independence Day blink, but Kyuubei has no eyelids. His eyes are glowing blood red gems, he's telepathic and he has some abilities of foresight. He can see into your soul, he can see forever. He does not blink.

I watched the show from start to finish with my roommate/best friend of ten years. My reaction to Episode One?

"I don't like that thing."
"What, Kyuubei?"
"Yeah, I don't like him. He has no eyelids and no mouth. He's evil."
"Huh. Well, that's a weird reaction."

I remember when the ah- nature of the thing was revealed I was like, "Ahhhhhhh ahhhh ahhhh OMG ahhhhh I TOLD YOU."

I don't care about his tail. His eyes and the fact that his mouth is never visibly open and he doesn't breathe all freaked me the fuck out, even more than his blue-and-orange morality. CREEPY NO BLINKY THING.

I am almost thirty and he is OF NIGHTMARES. I consider him an ELDRITCH ABOMINATION.
