Whenever I see this photoshoot, all I can think is "damn it, Lea!" I mean, I don't hate on her or anything, she's incredibly savvy about how to make sure she's the central focus in every photo, but this always feels like the one step too far. You're in the front, gurl, you're in the centre, you don't need your arse hanging out on top of that and your duck lips. Especially because, judging by how she poses in other photos, I can honestly imagine the lifted skirt being entirely her idea (my suspicions aren't helped by all those random twirls she kept throwing in at the start of season 3 when they kept putting her in empire-waisted babydolls, so her panties were on display). Seriously, look at any group promo shot for Glee. If everyone has their mouth closed, Lea has hers open. If everyone has their mouth open, Lea has hers closed. If everyone is looking to the side, she looks directly at the camera. If everyone is looking directly at the camera, she's looking elsewhere. She's always the ONLY one breaking uniform, so it immediately draws the attention to her, and I can't imagine EVERY director of EVERY photoshoot has told her to do this over three seasons - she clearly takes the initiative on her own. It's really one of those 'what has been seen cannot be unseen' things - once you notice it, it's all you can see!

lol, wow, I never really noticed this until now. Though Lea has always turned me off because of this wiff of desperation she has about her. It's a shame because I like her voice.

I first noticed her doing this in episode 1 of season 2, when they were doing the New York song on the steps of the school. Every other girl in baggy black pants, Princess Lea in a tiny skirt. And yup, I can't unsee it now. It's smart of her for her career, but annoying as a viewer.

OMG I'm so, so, so glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this. I thought maybe my hatred of Rachel was seeping into real life and making me hate on Lea for no particular reason, but YES! every photoshoot I have ever seen Lea in has bugged me because she always seems to be doing the exact opposite of what everyone else is doing (raising her short-skirted leg seems to be a popular pose for her). Or they have those "fun" photoshoots where the cast is supposed to look natural and cheery, as though the photo was taken mid laugh or mid discussion, and Lea ALWAYS looks fakely posed in them...as though she goes out of her way to look "hot" in the photos, even when she's not supposed to look hot.
