6. I've always wondered what happens if an otakin meets another otakin who claims to be soulbonded to 'their' character - do they have to duke it out on the Astral Plane or something to settle the matter? - but that's a really good question.

13. OHGODYES. I've said it before and I'll say it again - being generally inclined to be friendly, personable and optimistic doesn't make a character an idiot by default. I get so sick of the way fandom idolizes the brooding, gothy angst-bunnies and treats them like they're somehow superior in every way to the characters who actually SHUT UP AND (try to) DEAL WITH THEIR PROBLEMS instead of wallowing in their own misery all the time. There is nothing shallow about being pleasant!

Otherkin here (though not otakin) answering. Basically, they subscribe to the "infinite universes" theory. Say the world is a giant Nexus community and they just happen to be alternates of each other.
