I hate the ones that get all cutesy with it. "Teehee! I don't own them, but if I did..oh the things we would do!" And lately somebody's been making sure to tell us that the character's belong to the source-creators "gray matter" or somesuch. Ugh. Irritating.

Or if they make sure (in the Sherlock BBC fandom) to say that they're "Not Moffat or Gatiss!!" Oh good, glad you cleared that up, here I was worried Moffat was slacking off and writing fic.

Quiet, you! I want to continue to believe that Gatiss spends his spare time writing Sherlock/John porn, with Mycroft playing a secondary role of BAMF! HE DOES.

brb, trying to remember if I've run into fics like that. Usually Mycroft is just there for Sherlock to snark at. Also Moffat would make a hilarious BNF who'd troll the hell out of his readers.

I've seen one that fits the bill! John/Sherlock porn with a side of BAMF Mycroft! It's very deserving of its 500+ kudos on AO3 - it involves a case and everything.
