Jesus allegories generally soar over my head. I wouldn't have known she (or hell, even the lion from Narnia) was one if it hadn't been pointed out to me. And usually it pisses me off when it turns out that a character is one.

I think that was why I generally disliked the game until very late in, because I just sort of despise religion. But I don't think she is specifically "Jesus" but more just a general religious figure. Nearly all of them are the same anyway. But I think the point you are missing is that she gave it all up to fight for what she really believed in without any sort of god involved.

It's funny this secret was made because the other day I was reading an interesting FFX analysis about this very topic. Yuna was a Jesus figure who needed to die in order to save the human race from 'sin', the guardians were her disciples, and there was a particularly interesting part about Seymour representing the devil because of his persuasiveness, attempts to lead Yuna off her path, and wanting to become one with 'sin'.
