Just because she was pressured to lie didn't mean she had to lie, granted I did think Olive's friend over reacted to her behaviors (before she knew about the lie) but keep in mind the movie is about HIGHSCHOOL. I had friends who got mad at me for less in highschool, I had friends hold grudges against me for things I didn't even do (and they never even would ask me directly if I did do them so I never had a chance to tell them.)

The movie also didn't show a real heart to heart between them after it all happens, maybe her friend did end up apologizing for the way she acted.

Yeah, their friendship just makes me think of all the crappy friends I had in high school, honestly. I had a group of friends, but they were all terrible people. Friends did terrible things to each other, but most of the time friends forgave and made up.
High school.. Ugh.

Yyyyyyyep, agreed so hard. I mean, I had to suspend a lot of disbelief to get into the movie in the first place (Nobody in high school gives that much of a shit if you're having sex, NOT TO MENTION that Olive was just way to pretty to ever be ~unpopular~) but by that whole thing at the end I just sort of rolled my eyes and thanked Stanley Tucci that the movie was over.

I've never really seen a movie that got anywhere near what my highschool experience was, so I didn't think Easy A was worst case scenario. I was just glad it was funny and that made most of the believability not matter.

Though I have known pretty girls to not be popular, Olive was snarky enough that I could believe it... well believe it enough for the sake of the movie anyway.

Agree so much. Rhiannon was a shitty friend. Ignoring Olive was bad enough, but then she sided with the Christian kids who were bullying Olive. And I'm not sure if I remember this correctly, but didn't she kiss Olive's crush back when they were young even though she knew Olive's feelings? I totally thought the movie would end with Olive realizing she's better without her, but alas.
