But yeah, I kind of get what you mean, and I do sympathize terribly with the Weird Woman. My high school education kind of skipped the actual "this is how it actually works" to focus on "these are your options to avoid STDs and babby getting formed and NONE OF THEM WORK", and all I read on the internet for titillation was yaoi. So it was a while into college before I realized that I still didn't know how my own bits work or what all the little flaps of skin down there are!
But now I do, so that's that. And now I want Greir the mercenary and the Weird Woman to meet and have hilarious snarky lesbian sex ed comics together.

(Anonymous) 2011-12-09 02:20 am (UTC)(link)And that was pretty much my deal too--I've never liked female bodies, so yaoi was a natural draw for me. Thus, during the years when I guess I should've been learning to accept things, I was avoiding them entirely, and still can't deal with it.
I second that. It might bring some bizarre sort of comfort to me, even though I always have to skim over the lesbian scenes with more than kissing and playing with boobs.
