This, so much. I went undiagnosed and in constant pain for four years because every doctor I saw told me I had 'pulled a muscle' or 'strained something', because clearly, hip/back pain from a pulled muscle lasts for four years.

I finally saw a rheumatologist who tested me for fibromyalgia and lo and behold, I wasn't full of shit. :/ It's disheartening when you tell someone you haven't been able to walk for three days and they accuse you of making things up or exaggerating.
