Personally, I read slash fic like it MY JOB, but I guess I don't think that what the OP is saying is that...unreasonable? I've often had the thought that I'm happy I like slash so much, because it seems to me like it actually *would* be harder to find het (at least for many fandoms that I like). I mean, I agree with what many posters are saying, that slash is rampant in fanfiction because it is lacking in...everywhere else. But even thought the Hetlovin is represented more frequently in mainstream entertainment, I can still see how people would want fanfiction of it as well, especially if their ship is not cannon.
