I can't decide between the two finalists for who I want to win, since I love them both. I don't think that's ever happened on a reality show for me before.

Not idea who the video game guy is, so can't really touch that part but -- I wish Elizabeth Falkner won. She's really cool, and it'd be nice to have another Iron Chef who's a woman. Though I wish they'd stop that stupid show, and stop hiring MORE Iron Chefs, jfc, they hardly use anyone other than Mike Symon or Bobby Flay anyway. ...Food Network gives me a lot of feelings, apparently.

I agree, though having seen the dishes, I knew he was going to win. He wrapped his food like Christmas presents FFS. And the judges really seemed to consider savory dishes harder than desserts.

I think they should just have these competitions when one of the original retires. And I think they should force them to retire.

Did you see the ice/eggnog battle though?

ngl, I wasn't paying very close attention (I tend to put it on as background noise), and that was the only episode out of the competition that I saw.

And yeah, I agree! I mean, it's not like Batali or Morimoto really battle anymore. Though apparently that's because they're too busy for the show now. I wish they'd bring out Cat Kora more. :(

I don't think I have! I like their holiday special battles though, they're usually fun.

I've no doubt in my mind that Falkner will become an Iron Chef eventually. She's so good.

Hopefully she'd replace Bobby Flay. That dude loses more than he wins.

....I don't think I can get that image out of my head now. I've been watching a lot of Food Network over the past year or so too, so this is going to make watching Iron Chef and Chopped episodes very strange.
