I love everything about this secret :D

int main() {
    printf("I very much enjoyed the presentation of this secret.\n");
    return 0;
}

That's awesome, OP. :D

(Anonymous) 2011-12-20 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
You'd be surprised at how much we recognise.

[identity profile] citrinesunset.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
Heh, I would use fandom names when I was taking Java. Not in the programs themselves, but as input values when I was testing them.

[identity profile] fickletastictot.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
I wanna learn this, whatever it is. :(

[identity profile] ianthine9.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
C++!

...unless there's another lang that uses cout, it's definitely C++

[identity profile] cloud-riven.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
This secret is adorable and adorably made.

And it also makes me feel like punching myself for switching out of my computing science major. God do I miss those classes :(

[identity profile] writerserenyty.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
I love doing stuff like that!

(Anonymous) 2011-12-20 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Silly OP.
The professors are always the biggest nerds. Of course they know. Except for the part where you think they're hot... They never expect that.

OP

(Anonymous) 2011-12-20 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
He's said that he's not a gamer, hence why I'm sure he won't recognize video game character names from 10-15 years ago.

As for the hot part...yeah I think I'll just keep that one to myself ;)

(Anonymous) 2011-12-20 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I confessed my crush to a prof after I knew I wasnt taking him anymore, after giving him a comic. I got two shocked-but-marveled expressions. It was rather awesome.

(Anonymous) 2011-12-21 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
I concur; that is, as you said, rather awesome. Wish I had your guts XD

[identity profile] demacrux.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
Love this secret :)

Look at that, even my flashback gets an error message. *headdesk*

(Anonymous) 2011-12-20 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
It's okay. That just made your comment more amazing.

(Anonymous) 2011-12-21 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
When I took a comp sci class, our assignments were due on Friday midnight. Friday at 11 pm, you bet there were a bunch of people crowded in that lab room... which was in a building halfway up a hill... with the giant windows overlooking the adjacent graveyard. ;___;

(and a winter bonus: freezing winds, howling through the graveyard trees...)

[identity profile] chaviola.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
LAWWWWD I SURE AM IN GOOD COMPANY :|

[identity profile] vicfrankenstein.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
<3

Reminds me of expressing stuff I want to do in C on Facebook and having my teacher respond to it. In C.

Less awkward than when he commented on my friend's "S my D" drawing, though. Later, I decided to tell that story to my mom but I forgot it was awkward because of that stupid S my D picture. :-|

POINT IS: YEAH PROGRAMMING or something

[identity profile] aznmoonchild.livejournal.com 2011-12-20 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
lol. That's awesome, OP.

It'll never end, either. I'm a "professional" Software Engineer (your future?) and to test out a text messaging program, I passed around the lyrics of "Still Alive".

Haha - I did this all the time during my Computer Science course. It was fun :) Makes the assignments a bit more tolerable.

[identity profile] yuumeko.livejournal.com 2011-12-22 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
i'd find that endearing until you get to the bigger programs or team work where people or even yourself need some actually useful names to get what the program is doing.
