Whenever I see that scene, I think of all the people on it who died and how it would affect their families because I'm a downer. :(

Think of this this way anon, probably the vast majority of them were clones anyway, and on top of that, I like to think that the the few beings who worked on the Death Star were probably Jedi-like--Vader chose them because they had no families, so that they would be 100% committed to him and his work.
