My LOTR secret: I love the books and films for LOTR, but I've never been able to make it past the first chapter of The Hobbit.

My LOTR secret: I only got through the books because I had to read them in high school. I loved the ideas and the imagery but the writing style was tough and high fantasy isn't generally my thing. I'd never have stuck it through without being graded.

Oh, and I didn't like the first movie much and didn't see the other two. That opinion is supposed to go along with being a snob about the books, as I understand it, but... obviously that doesn't fit me.

I love the Hobbit though.

LOL whenever I try to reread The Hobbit, I always end up stopping after Gollum because then I just wanna read LOTR
