TY. I made it my New Year's resolution (LOL) to read more this coming year. Part of my trepidation is that I have ADD and it's just an enormous amount of information to try and process. I only play WoW to kill things for the same reason. Once I start getting deeper into the mythos, my brain shuts down. I hate it.

If you play WoW, you might enjoy Lord of the Rings Online (http://www.lotro.com/). It's free-to-play and the early, non-points-requiring quests are in the Shire and Bree areas. You get to "visit" the areas from the early part of the books... that might make them more interesting.

Brandywine is one of the biggest servers and they always have lots of low-level people around. Arkenstone is a good, medium-size one.
