Yeah.... no. Her nick is fucking "sexy nerd girl"... Why is it so hard to have a normal fucking female vlogger or streamer talk and play games that isn't working for the company they're promoting or constantly mentioning they're a girl. THIS so fucking much. I'm sick of "gamer girls" either being used by gaming companies to target guys, or portraid as nerds with unibrows and in ugly sweaters. Why can't they just be girls who play games? This is why I used a male avatar whenever I played MMOs. It was best to just blend in and play the f*ing game like everyone else.

honestly, I don't think that this ~gamer gurl~ is actually as common as some people make them out to be, except as a marketing ploy (that is also nowhere near as common as the bitterness would imply) manufactured by someone other than the actress hired to play the ~gamer gurl~

I find it a lot more common that the Marketing Organizer or PR person for a gaming company happens to be a young 20-something attractive female. It's very sneaky and she may well genuinely like the game, but I have to side eye it because there are so many of them. It's not that they're female, no no, but that they are quite pretty and have often have the ~gamer gurl~ personality. I don't think it's a coincidence and is fully intentional.
