Didn't know that, but it's yet another reason to dislike him. Seriously, I agree with everything you said. He's like those people who think if they get really drunk and loud at a party everyone will think they're really cool and edgy when in fact 90% of the people there want them to shut up.

Yep. I found the article (http://www.citypages.com/2011-10-12/restaurants/guy-fieri-in-diners-drive-ins-and-disasters/) that outs him as a homophobe, and that's just a small note in it; the whole thing is just a testament to his complete douchebaggery.

He is supposed to appeal to a younger and especially a more masculine target audience that the Food Network wants to cater to, rather than "middle-age middle-class housewives" as much of the television cooking world focused its attention toward until recently. 'Cause, you know, a thing needs to be able to appeal to men to have value. >:/
