As for Pete and Peggy, I liked their relationship in the early seasons because they both seemed like robots somewhat offtrack from the human world, but now I don't think they'd work.

I used to ship them but I finally stopped after the last season. It just doesn't seem like what she wants anymore. IDK

Their ship has sailed... and sunk.

I can see them working as partners, but I don't think they want each other anymore. (Trudy, Pete's and Peggy's baby-incident... Also, I suppose now Peggy is far more interested in becoming successful than finding romance with an old and distant flame.)

You know, I used to, until Peggy started taking control of her own life independently and kicking ass while doing so. She's too much her own person for Pete now, in a good way, and they're too very different people. I wouldn't mind them having many more sexy flings before hours, or taking accounts together, but I don't want them together as a couple any more.

Probably referring to the neighbor's au pair he slept with (the one he got the replacement dress for after she spilled wine on the original). There was some skeeziness to it...he showed up at the door, insisting she try the new dress on for him, which she seemed uncomfortable with. And the next (and last) we hear of it is that the chick was crying, which prompted the neighbor to come lecture Pete.

So much this. I just caught up on the show, and this pairing really snuck up on me...I know that they're in very different places right now, but I can't help but wish, deep down, that they'd end up together someday. When they're both ready for it, I mean. There's just something about their connection that I can't get over. Sigh.
