If those are the same fics I'm thinking of, Gaston had to do a lot of changing for Belle to accept him in that story. It wasn't like Gaston got Belle and they lived happily ever after; he had to work for it just like the Beast did.

Yeah...I sorta of remember reading a Belle/Gaston fic ages ago (never finished it) that...didn't she basically fall for someone who was technically the "Beast", but who got killed and Gaston was jealous as shit and then things happen and he's had to grow and stuff....I can't remember that well...and I kind of wanna reread what I DID read and finish it. >>
